Emma Chourot BDS

Dental Surgeon

Emma has lived locally since 1980, attending King’s School in Ottery St Mary. She qualified from The University of Bristol in 1989 and went on to work as an associate in Paignton and Exeter before taking over the responsibilities of running her own practice in 1996. She is experienced in all aspects of dentistry but is particularly keen on preventive dentistry. She is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Advanced Minimum Intervention Dentistry with King’s College London. She has a grown-up daughter and three teenage sons.

Claire Bennett BSc (Hons)

Dental Therapist

Claire has been in dentistry for over 24 years, working in several different roles. Originally a qualified dental nurse with additional qualifications in dental radiography and oral health education. She progressed to teaching dental implant nursing nationally, for multiple companies and lecturing, as well as running a successful state of the art practice. Claire always felt she wanted to be the other side of the chair and treat patients herself, so returned to university in 2017 to become a dental therapist. Claire graduated from Cardiff University with a first-class honours degree in dental therapy and won multiple awards including British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy National Student of the year.

In February 2021 she was delighted to be invited to join the team at Feniton Dental Practice. Claire is passionate about dentistry and likes to focus on her patient’s needs, providing personal preventative and restorative care.

Louise Clarkson

Receptionist and Practice Administrator

Louise joined the practice in January 2007 as receptionist. She is now responsible for the practice administration. In her spare time, Louise enjoys going for walks across Devon with her family and dog.

Luke Gray BA (Hons)

Receptionist and Administrator

After a career as a history teacher, Luke has joined the practice to take on some of the practice administrative responsibilities for safeguarding and data security. He is currently studying for a Diploma in Dental Nursing. In his spare time, he enjoys most outdoor pursuits.
